In Los Angeles, the art scene can seem very daunting to an outsider, that’s why the pragmatism and practical emphasis on space that’s’ instilled in the work of Mr. Johansson allows his pieces to take on a life of their own.
Sweden born artist Michael Johansson is one of a batch of artists showing and holding exhibitions at the Flat Gallery in Milan. His exhibition entitled “Still Lifes”, represents three-dimensional space as applied with luggage as the props.
The viewing will be open to the public now and through February 24th. Fans of space analysis should most definitely check this out, it’ll make you feel like your inside the Matrix with luggage stacked like the objects in tetris.
