Back in 2005 when Japanese designer Akio Mitobe set off to bridge the worlds of high fashion along with the subtle edge of street wear he launched Habanos. This proved to be the right step in filling the void he saw during those years.
Habanos is a mash-up of different popular culture scenes all in one apparel brand. Among the listed pieces scheduled in the Spring/Summer 13′ look book include military wear, relaxed fit shirts with customized pockets paired alongside unique designs and patterns ranging from camouflage to stripe. University caps and beanies round out the line, showing that Habanos is thinking about going into accessories sometime in the near future. Throughout the collection, attention to detail is apparent in every piece, all the way down to the threading. With so much attention on the tops, Akio in stead resolved to infuse the same degree of craftsmanship typically reserved for shirts in the shorts.
